Abstract

This repository contains the MATLAB implementation of the adaptive image reconstruction and particle tracking algorithms. The code enables high-precision tracking of colloidal particles in close proximity by iteratively refining both particle positions and shape functions from microscopy images. Two implementations are provided: a gradient-based method operating on image gradients, and an intensity-based variant operating directly on raw intensity profiles. The algorithms are designed to handle strongly overlapping diffraction-limited images and achieve nanometre-scale localisation accuracy. Example scripts and images are included to reproduce the main analysis and figures presented in the associated publication.
