Narrative Singularity Under Platformed Politics: Companion Documentation and Narrative Taxonomy
Abstract
This record contains the companion methodological paper and narrative taxonomy for the dataset “Narrative Singularity Under Platformed Politics: Platformed Media Artifacts and Logs.” The paper provides a methods-first digital ethnographic framework for interpreting a collection of screenshots, transcripts, and engagement metadata documenting a rapid narrative convergence event following a U.S. political announcement. Rather than adjudicating factual claims, the documentation formalizes how narrative causation, moral judgment, and symbolic closure emerge and stabilize under high-velocity platform conditions. The dataset and this companion paper are designed to be read together. The dataset preserves the primary artifacts verbatim; the paper supplies the analytical scaffolding, narrative function taxonomy, and reproducibility context necessary for independent re-analysis.
