Abstract

From Nothing to Now is a prose companion to Realitas Consequentiae, a formal framework that derives a constraint-based ontology of irreversible reality. While the formal work establishes the structure through precise definitions and derivations, this volume explains the same structure without mathematical or technical formalism. The book begins at the boundary where perfect equivalence fails and follows the consequences of persistence, loss, and irreversible exclusion step by step. It develops an account of time as ordering induced by irreversibility, treats loss as permanent contraction of future feasibility, and examines how accumulation of consequence generates pressure, horizons, collapse, and the erosion of agency. Ethics and power are addressed not as matters of intent or ideology, but as structural phenomena arising wherever irreversible action reshapes what futures remain reachable. This work is not predictive, normative, or programmatic. It does not propose a worldview or prescribe solutions. Its purpose is explanatory and orienting: to make the structure of consequence visible so that the limits it imposes on choice, recovery, and control can no longer be ignored. Written for readers without technical background, From Nothing to Now requires no prior agreement with any theory of physics, economics, or ethics. It asks only whether irreversible consequence exists at all, and traces what must follow if it does. The volume is intended to clarify the framework presented in Realitas Consequentiae, not to replace or supersede it.
