A COARSE-GRAINED VACUUM FRAMEWORK FOR EMERGENT GRAVITY FINITE RESOLUTION, COHERENCE, AND THE PHYSICAL DOMAIN OF CLASSICAL SPACETIME
Abstract
This paper examines the physical coupling between vacuum energy and classical gravity using a mechanism-only, elimination-by-necessity framework. It argues that classical spacetime responds only to energy distributions that can enforce coherent, persistent gradients through physical back-reaction, and that microscopic vacuum fluctuations lack the coherence required to act as gravitational sources at macroscopic scales. By applying enforcement tests, removal criteria, and structural invariance analysis, the paper shows that excluding vacuum fluctuations as direct gravitational sources leaves observed classical gravitational behavior unchanged. The result is a resolution-limited account of emergent gravity that identifies a physical domain boundary—rather than a numerical discrepancy—between microscopic vacuum activity and classical spacetime curvature.
