Abstract

This paper provides a formal boundary specification for the structural grammar introduced in“A Structural Grammar for Bounded Recursion: Signal, Collapse, Containment, and Proportional Delay”. It introduces no new primitives, mechanisms, models, or theoretical claims. Its sole purpose is tospecify where the grammar applies and where it does not, and to identify classes of phenomena forwhich application of the grammar would constitute misuse. The grammar is interpretive rather than explanatory. It licenses structural readings of recursiveprocesses that experience pressure toward unbounded escalation, but does not support claims ofcausality, prediction, mechanism, or universality. Non-applicability is treated as an informativeoutcome, not a failure. This document functions as a negative specification and a governance artifact: it stabilisesinterpretation across audiences and contexts, prevents over-extension, and provides a citablereference for scope discipline as the grammar is applied or discussed in future work. The paper is intended to be read alongside, but independently from, the author’s other peer-facingpublications on bounded recursion, revocation, and prospective containment.
