The Law of Residue: Persistence as the Ontological Primitive of Causal Recursion Field Theory
Abstract
Current attempts to unify physical law presume that fundamental order precedes interaction. This paper proposes an inversion of that ontology: physical law is not a pre-existing design, but the "Residue of Elimination" resulting from universal stochastic interaction. Drawing on the principle of Persistence Under Stochastic Interaction, we argue that noise acts as a universal selection pressure that eliminates any informational trajectory unable to maintain coherence (K) under environmental compression (C). We demonstrate that this "Persistence Primitive" operates scale-invariantly across the 9D cosmology: acting as "Decoherence" in the quantum regime, "Entropy" in the gravitational regime, and "The Filter" in the socio-economic regime. We identify the phenomenon of "Scaling Cliffs"—abrupt phase transitions that occur when noise exceeds a system’s coherence capacity—validating the CRFT concept of the Nucleation Event. Ultimately, this framework redefines the "Laws of Physics" (and Economic Value) not as arbitrary rules, but as the 1.5 Median Residue—the only structures possessing sufficient Invariant Closure to survive the universal filter. Reality is not what is written; it is what remains.
