A No-Go Result for Conventional Scaling Bases
Abstract
A universal scaling fingerprint characterized by an approximately invariant quantityQ(m)=mΔ(m) has been observed across multiple physical domains.A natural objection is that such invariance could arise from conventional power-lawfitting choices or windowing artifacts. Here we present a no-go result: across multiple reasonable control bases and windowconstructions, the invariant plateau fails to reproduce, yielding strong m-dependence.This separates the empirical fingerprint from standard scaling analysis artifacts.
