Constellations and the Development of Astronomical Observation
Abstract
This article examines the role of constellations in the development of astronomical observation from ancient civilizations to modern astronomy. It explores how early sky patterns were used for navigation, timekeeping, and the foundation of celestial mapping. The study discusses the transition from naked-eye observations to telescopic astronomy and the influence of constellations on scientific thought. By reviewing historical sources and astronomical methods, this paper highlights the lasting impact of constellations on the evolution of observational astronomy.
