MMS-A14: Singularities as Phase Transitions
Abstract
This paper represents an earlier stage in the development of the Entropic Spacetime Field (ESF) framework. The current reference implementation is presented in MMS-A19: The Entropic Spacetime Field: A Canonical Wave Framework for Cosmic Structure Formation 10.5281/zenodo.21433778, which supersedes the mathematical formulation described here while retaining a number of the underlying physical concepts. MMS-A14 reframes black holes and event horizons within the Entropic Spacetime Field (ESF) as phase-shift objects of an entropy-responsive spacetime medium, removing the need for physical singularities. The ESF claim is not a denial of strong gravity or horizon phenomenology. Instead, the singularity of classical General Relativity (GR) is treated as a breakdown of a macroscopic description, signalling the onset of finite reconfiguration in a deeper substrate.
