Abstract

The Stepping Stone Paradox (TSSP) is an independent theoretical framework that diagnoses the hidden costs of progress in complex systems—personal, organizational, societal, and civilizational. This document (Version 12.15) synthesizes the full lifecycle dynamics: from moral accounting and the Sentient Flaw to structural integrity, axioms of extraction vs. generation, and pathways to solvency through affective resonance and honest measurement. Core thesis: Progress that fails to account for its true cost (the "stepping stones" underneath) is structurally insolvent and leads to inevitable collapse. Drawing on systems theory, moral philosophy, complexity science, and thermodynamics analogies, TSSP provides diagnostic tools (equations, axioms, lifecycle phases) to measure and redirect these dynamics. Developed outside traditional academic structures from lived observation and iterative refinement, this work offers a solvent alternative to extractive paradigms—for anyone carrying unacknowledged weight in unsustainable systems.
