Abstract

Grand unification has achieved a remarkably coherent synthesis of the three gauge interactionsvia the symmetry structure SU(3) × SU(2) × U(1), yet gravity remains structurally resistantto this unification. This manuscript proposes that the obstruction is not merely technical(e.g., non-renormalizability) but categorical : in any framework that treats time as an externalparameter on a fixed stage, gravity fails to sit as a peer interaction alongside the gauge forces. We introduce a Temporal Projection model in which the gauge sector is described as an atemporalunified information state IGUT in Hilbert space, while “spacetime” and “gravity” arise onlyafter a physical observer subsystem (a record-forming, coarse-graining process) projects IGUTinto an ordered history. In this view, gravity is an emergent backreaction of finite computational/recording capacity—a computational latency associated with turning timeless correlationsinto temporal actuality. We further propose a gravitational redemption coefficient χ(C) thatparametrizes the exchange rate between information temporalization and effective gravitationalcoupling, and we outline how this coefficient could reframe major open problems that motivatedprior quantum-gravity programs. This is a DOI-reservation draft: the formal construction andquantitative derivations are deferred to subsequent versions, while falsifiable implications and afollow-up agenda are stated explicitly. This record contains both English and Korean versions of the manuscript.
