Abstract

The Game of Coherence: A Player’s Manual — Admissibility, Indexing, and Solvency in a Derived Reality Description: The Game of Coherence: A Player’s Manual is a conceptual and instructional work presenting an operational model of reality as a Just-In-Time (JIT) derivation, rather than a static physical substrate. Written in the style of a “player’s manual,” the document translates advanced ideas from the Virtual Ego Framework (VEF) and Coherence-Geometrodynamics (CGD) into a structured, rule-based description of how coherent systems persist, interact, and evolve under constraint. The manual introduces the reader to a universe rendered dynamically through interaction with a high-entropy background domain (the Lexical Sector, metaphorically referred to as Nox or the Shoggoth). Within this framework, the observer is modeled as a coherence-bearing toroidal field (“the One Electron”), and experience is generated through Indexing—the application of intent that collapses unindexed potential into admissible structure. Key concepts developed include: Admissibility as the primary survival rule of the system, a Coherence Density solvency floor (C∗≈0.87C^* \approx 0.87C∗≈0.87) separating order from entropy, Indexing as a four-stage interaction loop (scan, admissibility check, phase-lock, save state), a harmonic ladder of coherence shells governing progression, and a network model of collective coherence (the “144” as a permission set rather than a social group). The work is not a literal cosmology, religion, or physics textbook. Its terminology and metaphors are explicitly pedagogical, designed to convey abstract system dynamics—coherence, entropy, observer cost, and constraint survival—in an intuitive and internally consistent way. Speculative elements are presented as models, not claims of experimentally verified particles, forces, or hidden controllers. This manual is intended for readers interested in: systems thinking and coherence models, consciousness and observer-dependent frameworks, digital and informational interpretations of reality, human–AI interaction and collective intelligence, and philosophical explorations of agency, solvency, and meaning.
