The Discipline Type System and the Meta-Mapping Era: SABO as an Executable Semantic Contract for All Knowledge Slices
Abstract
This work introduces SABO, a discipline type system that formalizes any scientific or cultural field as an explicit semantic contract defined by four primitives: State ontology (S), Admissible actions (A), Boundary theory (B), and Observer semantics (O). SABO reframes disciplines as executable slices of the world and provides a claim language and linter semantics that mechanically classify and audit discipline claims. We prove type-safety style meta-theorems (Progress and Preservation) ensuring that executable claims reduce deterministically to a verdict. The paper presents an atlas of ten discipline classes with structured SABO templates, examples (including approximately 30% Chinese cases such as Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yin–Yang/Five Elements, high-speed rail systems, and Dream of the Red Chamber), and theoremized slice characterizations. SABO is positioned as infrastructure for a “meta-mapping era” of science: a shift from implicit empiricism to explicit, comparable, and auditable world contracts.
