THE ROLE OF ONLINE PLATFORMS AND MOBILE APPLICATIONS IN IMPROVING ENGLISH SPEAKING SKILLS AT UNIVERSITIES.
Abstract
The rapid development of digital technologies has significantly transformed the landscape of higher education, particularly in foreign language teaching and learning. This scientific thesis examines the role of online platforms and mobile applications in improving English speaking skills among university students. The study focuses on how digital tools facilitate interactive communication, autonomous learning, and authentic language exposure. Based on empirical findings from previous studies, the paper analyzes the effectiveness of online learning environments, speech-oriented mobile applications, and synchronous communication platforms in enhancing fluency, pronunciation, and communicative competence. The results demonstrate that systematic integration of digital platforms into university-level English instruction positively impacts students’ speaking performance, motivation, and confidence.
