Experimental Verification of Low-Energy Quantum Gravity: Falsifiable Predictions for LIGO A+ and LHC
Abstract
We propose a low-energy effective field theory (EFT) of quantum gravity based on the graviton Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) picture, and derive falsifiable predictions for upcoming experiments: LIGO A+ (and HL) gravitational wave detectors, and the high-luminosity LHC (HL-LHC). For LIGO, we predict a correction to the waveform of merging binary black holes, which can be tested by the improved signal-to-noise ratio of A+; for the LHC, we predict a deviation in the Drell-Yan process cross-section at high invariant masses, which is accessible to HL-LHC's precision measurements. These predictions provide a direct experimental test of quantum gravity at low energies, filling the gap between theoretical frameworks and observational data.
