Calculating the Ratio of Matter Energy to Total Energy at the Planck Scale Using the Formulas of Gravity and Quantum Mechanics, Possibly Solving the Cosmological Constant Problem
Abstract
In this report, the ratio of matter energy (ordinary plus dark) to total energy is found at the Planck scale with a result of 0.282. This is close to the actual value (~ 0.3). Gravity and quantum mechanics is used to obtain this result. The energy of attractive gravity is set equal to the Planck energy at the Planck scale to get this result. At the Planck scale “gravitational effects become as strong as quantum effects” as mentioned by Google’s artificial intelligence. It is assumed that the value of Planck energy corresponds to the total energy rather than just the dark energy or matter energy (ordinary plus dark). If the methodology is correct, this may be a solution to the cosmological constant problem as data of the matter energy density of the cosmos at intergalactic scales can be obtained and used with these results to calculate the dark energy density of the vacuum.
