The Structured Vacuum: Complete Unification of Physics from Electric Current
Abstract
We begin with a simple observation: a 1.5 V battery cannot provide the 7.7 eV required to ionize copper atoms, yet electric current flows. This motivates a radical reinterpretation: electrons do not move between atoms; electric current is instead the propagation of torsion in a structured vacuum described by a pre-geometric tensor Ξμν with 23 helical channels. From this single correction, the framework reconstructs fundamental physics: all so-called constants (ħ, c, α, e, me, mp, GF) emerge as geometric parameters of vacuum structure; particles appear as topological knots; forces as elastic/topological interactions; quantum mechanics as hydrodynamics; general relativity as emergent curvature; and cosmology as a vacuum phase transition. The model quantitatively estimates several key quantities (e.g. α−1 ≈ 137.036, mp/me ≈ 1839, mμ/me ≈ 192, GF ≈ 1.16×10−5 GeV−2) and proposes 23 experimental predictions (15 already matched to data, 8 testable), suggesting that physical reality is fundamentally topological rather than particulate or field-theoretic.
