Neutrinos as Vacuum Oscillation Modes: Phase Interference, CvB, and Effective Oscillations in Stiffness Field Cosmology
Abstract
Within Stiffness Field Cosmology (SFC), we propose a non-particle ontology for neu- trinos. Neutrinos are not pointlike fermions carrying intrinsic mass, but asymmetric oscil- latory modes of a continuous vacuum field subject to an energy-density saturation limit. Two dynamical classes are identified: (i) the Cosmic Neutrino Background (CvB), con- sisting of diffusive, low-amplitude asymmetric modes forming an intrinsic thermal floor of the vacuum; and (ii) high-energy (TeV–PeV) neutrinos, described as soliton-like pulses protected by a counter-pressure buffer that prevents geometric dilution. Neutrino oscilla- tions are reinterpreted as phase-interference phenomena between propagating solitons and the pre-existing CvB, unifying vacuum oscillations, MSW-like matter effects, and flavor transitions within a single dynamical framework. An order-of-magnitude estimate demon- strates that the observed ∆m 2 ∼ 10−3 eV2 naturally emerges from environmental phase accumulation, without invoking intrinsic neutrino masses or Planck-scale physics.
