Gravity as the Geometry of Correlation Capacity
Abstract
This paper proposes a structural reinterpretation of gravity. Rather than viewing gravity as a force or solely as the dynamical curvature of spacetime, it is understood here as the geometric regulation of correlation capacity. The central idea is that spacetime geometry limits how many independent relational degrees of freedom can coexist across geometric interfaces. Curvature redistributes this capacity, geodesics trace paths of minimal coordination cost, tidal effects arise from capacity gradients, and horizons mark surfaces where correlation capacity saturates. Gravitational attraction emerges naturally as the tendency of relational structure to organize along capacity gradients, without invoking new forces or dynamics. The framework introduces no new fields, equations, or degrees of freedom and leaves general relativity intact. Its contribution is interpretive and structural: it clarifies what gravity regulates rather than how spacetime evolves. By making gravity’s organizing role explicit, the paper provides a unifying geometric account of curvature, motion, and horizons that is complementary to standard dynamical descriptions and prepares the ground for a separate treatment of entropy and thermodynamics. About the series. Admissibility Physics derives the Standard Model gauge group, fermion content, quantum formalism, Lorentzian spacetime, the Einstein field equations, the cosmological constant, and the neutrino, strong-CP, and dark sectors from a single assumption — that enforcement is finite at every causally connected region — with zero free parameters. The core derivation runs Papers 0–11; the extension papers carry the individual sectors. Each paper's main text and Technical Supplement is deposited separately, and every quantitative claim traces to a named, executable check in the public theorem bank (over 3,800 bank-registered theorems across roughly 450 modules, 48 quantitative predictions).
