Minimal Ontological Foundation for World-Formation and the Emergence of Time
Abstract
【Important notice: newer version available】 This record is an earlier version of the Minimal Ontological Foundation (MOF) series. It is preserved as a record of the research process and priority, but it is not the recommended version for understanding the current theoretical framework. The current version is MOF v4.2. In MOF v4.2, the earlier MOF framework is reconstructed in light of the development of Finite Distinguishability Closure (FDC). The core of the minimal structural residue is reorganized from “properties of number” into the more fundamental notion of “distinction-structure.” Finite resolution, GSRS, probability-form, descriptive closure, and the relation to FDC are also reformulated. If you wish to refer to the current theoretical framework, please use the newer version below rather than this earlier record. Minimal Ontological Foundation for World-Formation (MOF v4.2): An Eliminative Ontology of Non-Eliminable Structural Constraint DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.20048822 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This version clarifies and fixes the ontological starting point of the theory by explicitly stating the minimal input conditions under which a world can meaningfully be said to exist. The Introduction has been revised to make explicit that physical existence is treated as numerical structure described from within, rather than as a construct generated from number as a causal substrate. No changes have been made to the technical structure, assumptions, or conclusions of the theory. All subsequent sections remain intact and are to be read as consequences of the fixed starting point.
