FOREIGN LANGUAGE AS A MEANS OF ADAPTATION OF FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS OF A TECHNOLOGICAL COLLEGE TO THE PROFESSIONAL EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT
Abstract
The article presents the results of a study on the role of foreign language instruction in the adaptation of first-year learners of a chemical-technological college to the professional educational environment. The study involved 36 learners (4 groups of 9), each taught using different methodological models: communicative, professionally oriented, project-based, and interactive-digital. The highest adaptation rates were observed in the project-based group (88.9% successful adaptation, satisfaction 9.6/10) and the communicative group (77.8%, satisfaction 9.1/10). The professionally oriented approach ensured 66.7% adaptation, while the interactive-digital approach showed the lowest result at 55.6%.
