ULTIMATE GENESIS AI v7.4
Abstract
Ultimate Genesis AI v7.4 is a single-file Python implementation of a modern, modular language- model training and inference stack. The design goal is “one file, many modes”: an understandable baseline that runs on CPU-only laptops, while also exposing guarded (opt-in) hooks for GPU acceleration, memory efficiency, and multi-process scaling. The model combines a causal Transformer backbone with a Mamba-style selective scan block, optional Mixture-of-Experts (MoE), and optional Mixture-of- Depths (MoD) token routing. It includes a byte/patch tokenizer (BLT-style), a sliding KV/state cache for long generation beyond block size, stable checkpointing and resuming, evaluation with perplexity, and optional speculative decoding. Experimental features (Triton kernels, FP8 wrappers, CUDA graphs, tensor/pipeline parallel scaffolds, ZeRO-3 scaffolds, ring attention) are intentionally guarded to preserve reproducibility and publication safety. This artifact is intended for educational, research-prototyping, reproducible experimentation, and stress-testing of “single-file” LLM engineering ideas.
