CLIMATIC CONDITIONS AS A MODIFIER OF COGNITIVE FUNCTIONS AND MOTIVATION IN STUDENTS WITH CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME
Abstract
The study analyzed the impact of climatic factors on the manifestations of chronic fatigue syndrome and students’ academic motivation. A total of 216 respondents aged 18–24 years participated in the survey. It was found that 34.5% of students reported a pronounced influence of weather conditions on productivity, while 49.6% indicated a moderate effect. Symptoms of fatigue reduced the effectiveness of practical activities: 47.8% of students reported a slowdown in work rhythm, and 31% noted a regular decline in the quality of assignments. At the same time, 44.2% of respondents indicated that cool weather increased their motivation to study. The findings confirm the significance of climatic conditions as a modifier of cognitive and motivational processes.
