Light and Colors Through the Understanding of the ON/OFF Principle
Abstract
Standard electrodynamics provides a mathematically precise description of reflection, but its physical interpretation remains fragmented across multiple mechanisms. The ON/OFF-based model offers a unified and intuitive framework in which reflection, color, and scattering emerge as different regimes of the same interaction process. In its absolute form, the interaction can be described as a binary ON/OFF process. However, in physical reality this binary nature manifests through continuous distributions of spin orientations and angular states. When a light wave interacts with a material surface possessing its own spin orientation, the reflected light statistically aligns with the material’s spin configuration, nearly reproducing its angular distribution while modifying the original emission angle of the source.
