The Observer-Centered Information Universe: Resolving Cosmological Mysteries via Spacetime Rendering Resolution
Abstract
We propose Adaptive Spacetime Rendering (ASR), a phenomenological framework that reexpressesthe cosmological “dark sector” as an observer-centered resolution-optimization effectrather than as additional material components. The framework introduces an information-densitytensor Iμν as the source term for curvature through an Information Field Equation (IFE), andmodels observable time-resolution through an information-path potential ΦI and a resolutionfunction τ(ΦI ). A calibration ansatz is adopted to relate the macroscopic resolution scale Lresto a dimensionless local attenuation rate α by matching dimensions at the Hubble scale. Usinga simplified global fitting exercise with Pantheon+ (n = 1701) and a high-redshift supplement(n = 32, SNe Ia/GRB-calibrated indicators), we obtain information criteria that are competitivewith (and in this specific fit, preferred to) a reference ΛCDM baseline. At galaxy scales, weightedfits to N = 175 SPARC rotation curves yield a median R2 = 0.965 (IQR: 0.948–0.972) withoutintroducing a dark-matter halo term. We emphasize that ASR is presented as a testable effectiveframework; we provide explicit falsification targets (Table 1) and a prioritized follow-up programfor independent verification.
