A Foundational Ontology for Emergent Physics UCL
Abstract
We present a universal correlational framework in which all physical structure emerges from a single pregeometric substrate: a network of fundamental correlational degrees of freedom. No spacetime, metric, dimension, fields, particles, or dynamical equations are assumed at the foundational level. Instead, physical notions such as dimensionality, time, geometry, locality, objects, interactions, and stability arise as effective properties of the correlational structure under well-defined coarse-graining procedures.
