Abstract

This paper presents a revised, engineering-oriented blueprint for the development of temporal simulation systems, previously framed under the broader and more speculative concept of a “Participatory Time Machine.” In response to peer review and feasibility concerns, the present blueprint explicitly distinguishes between (a) simulation-based temporal modeling, (b) quantum-inspired representations of temporal states, and (c) hypothetical physical time reversal, the latter of which is acknowledged as speculative and non-actionable under current physical constraints. The primary contribution of this work is not a claim of near-term physical time travel, but a structured, modular roadmap for what can be responsibly designed, simulated, tested, and evaluated today. The blueprint emphasizes phased development, reproducibility, ethical governance, neural and psychological safeguards, and clear termination criteria. By separating actionable engineering tasks from unresolved physical assumptions, this work aims to make speculative temporal concepts discussable, critiquable, and ethically bounded within contemporary engineering and systems design practices.
