Abstract

This paper is a non-canonical analytical work examining common misinterpretations in artificial general intelligence (AGI) alignment discourse and speculative first-contact ethics. It clarifies why human fallibility, governance latency, and moral uncertainty function as deliberate safety constraints rather than defects within constraint-based ethical approaches. The paper explicitly rejects claims of human supremacy, cosmic governance, benevolent authoritarianism, and deity framing. It asserts no authority, proposes no governance structures, and makes no universal ethical claims. Human ethical reasoning is presented as local and self-limiting, applying only to humanity and human-created systems. This work does not modify, extend, reinterpret, or reopen any existing philosophical framework, including Coexilia, which remains closed and unchanged. It speaks only to the limits humanity must place on itself when encountering advanced artificial intelligences or potential extraterrestrial intelligences. Non-engagement and peaceful distance are explicitly recognized as acceptable outcomes.
