Abstract

This repository contains the foundational conceptual paper for Boundary Relativity Theory (BRT), a proposed ontological framework that treats separation as the primary condition for existence. BRT formalizes four axioms concerning boundaries, individuation, and the observer–object relationship, proposing that existence itself arises through boundary formation. A central concept introduced here is the boundary velocity (Δ_B), an effective structural speed that characterizes the establishment of individuation. Because Δ_B describes ontological differentiation rather than causal signal propagation, it can formally exceed the speed of light without violating physical causality. Core Proposal:BRT interprets the dark energy density (ρ_Λ) as the thermodynamic cost of separation—the total energetic requirement for all individuals in the universe to maintain their boundaries. Under this interpretation, the cosmological constant is not a mysterious vacuum energy but the energetic price of existence. Cosmic Cycle:The framework suggests a cyclic cosmology in which the universe begins in an undifferentiated primordial state (Be), evolves through accelerated expansion driven by separation energy (Ω), and may eventually return to Be once the separation-energy reservoir becomes insufficient. Preliminary order-of-magnitude estimates indicate that this transition could occur approximately 7 billion years from now. Scope:This paper establishes the conceptual foundations of BRT. Mathematical derivations and quantitative predictions will be presented separately in upcoming technical papers.
