Voynich Manuscript engine
Abstract
This paper presents a structural and methodological reclassification of the Voynich Manuscript, arguing that it is not an encoded natural language or cipher but a non-linguistic procedural system. The analysis examines glyph regularity, line-length constraints, repetition patterns, page layout, and illustration–text coupling, showing that these features are inconsistent with semantic writing yet internally coherent under an execution-based model. The manuscript is interpreted as a symbolic instruction framework in which glyphs function as operators encoding actions, transitions, cycles, and termination states rather than words. A repeatable analytical method is outlined, enabling independent verification of the classification by testing constraint behavior across sections. The work is intended as a foundational methods paper that reframes the problem domain and explains why prior linguistic and cryptographic approaches have systematically failed.
