Phase-dependent Structure in Global Atomic Clock Residual Correlations
Abstract
This preprint reports an empirical analysis of global atomic clock residual correlations conditioned on lunar geometry. Using publicly available NASA/JPL GNSS clock residual products and deterministic lunar geometry calculations, the study examines whether inter-station residual correlations exhibit coherent structure when conditioned on lunar phase and slope direction. Three independent conditioning approaches are applied: slope-direction quadrant partitioning, phase-binned residual means, and phase-folded rolling correlation analysis. Across multiple globally distributed station pairs, residual correlations vary systematically with lunar phase and slope direction, including asymmetries between same-direction slope configurations. These features are not captured by amplitude-only conditioning. No causal mechanism or physical interpretation is proposed. The contribution of this work is strictly empirical: to document conditional structure in atomic clock residual correlations and provide a reproducible reference for further investigation. All analysis code is publicly available at:https://github.com/CollapseRider69/GACRC Raw GNSS clock data are not redistributed and must be obtained directly from the JPL GNSS Products repository.
