Active Magneto–Plasma Control of Hypersonic Plasma Sheaths Mitigation of Communication Blackout via Classical Electromagnetics
Abstract
Zenodo Description (English)Official English DescriptionThis work presents a physically consistent analytical framework for the active control of plasma sheaths surrounding hypersonic vehicles, with the objective of mitigating electromagnetic communication blackout during high-speed flight and atmospheric re-entry.The proposed model explicitly couples electron density evolution, electromagnetic field control, and effective signal transparency, while remaining fully within the domain of classical electrodynamics, plasma physics, and magnetohydrodynamics. No spacetime curvature, exotic matter, or speculative mechanisms are invoked.By adopting a reduced-order, control-oriented formulation, the framework enables real-time estimation, adaptive control design, and system-level integration with guidance, navigation, and communication architectures. The results demonstrate that significant blackout mitigation can be achieved through directional plasma shaping, magnetic confinement, and frequency tuning, offering a practical bridge between high-fidelity plasma simulations and operational hypersonic systems.
