Abstract

Background -Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) consists of heterogeneous lung disorders characterized by fibrosis and inflammation. High-Resolution Computed Tomography (HRCT) is the gold standard imaging technique for detailed lung evaluation and ILD pattern recognition and widely used during COVID. Aim and Objective:The aim of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of HighResolution Computed Tomography (HRCT) in Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) across age groups. The objectives included analyzing HRCT patterns such as fibrosis, UIP/IPF, and ground-glass opacities; correlating these with patient demographics; and determining HRCT’s sensitivity, specificity, and predictive values. Statistical significance of findings was assessed using p-values to support HRCT’s role as a reliable, non-invasive diagnostic tool for ILD.
