TERMINOLOGICAL CHALLENGES IN THE INTERNATIONAL CONTEXT OF FORENSIC LINGUISTICS: TRANSLATION, INTERPRETATION, AND STANDARDIZATION
Abstract
This research examines the linguistic and legal challenges in translating forensic medical terminology from English and Russian into the Uzbek language. The study analyzes the "hybrid" nature of forensic discourse, functional equivalence of terms, and the asymmetry between national legal systems. Based on a comparative analysis of 150 forensic reports and expert interviews, the article identifies systemic issues such as the lack of full equivalence and nominative gaps in Uzbek medical-legal discourse. The findings propose scientific and practical solutions for the standardization of professional terminology and the improvement of specialist training.(4)
