Impact of Corporate Social Responsibility on Environmental Awareness and Wildlife Protection Attitude in Business Practices
Abstract
The increasing concern for environmental sustainability and wildlife protection has highlighted the role of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in shaping organizational practices. In the context of Vietnam, where rapid economic development often poses challenges to environmental conservation, understanding how CSR influences environmental awareness and attitudes toward wildlife protection among businesses is critical. This study aims to examine the impact of CSR dimensions including economic, legal, ethical, and philanthropic responsibilities on environmental awareness and wildlife protection attitudes in Vietnamese companies. A quantitative research approach was employed, surveying 186 business representatives across various sectors. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to test hypothesized relationships. The results indicate that economic, legal, and ethical responsibilities positively influence environmental awareness, which in turn significantly affects attitudes toward wildlife protection. However, philanthropic responsibility did not demonstrate a significant effect. The findings contribute to the theoretical understanding of CSR’s role in environmental and wildlife-related behaviors and provide practical guidance for businesses and policymakers in Vietnam to enhance sustainable and responsible practices.
