Abstract

Time is not postulated.It is derived. Root:$\omega_5 = e^{2\pi i/5}$,$\omega_5^5 = 1$. Minimal polynomial:$\omega_5^4 + \omega_5^3 + \omega_5^2 + \omega_5 + 1 = 0$. Golden ratio:$\varphi = (1+\sqrt{5})/2$. Time operator:$J = 1 + \omega_5^2$. Exact identity:$J = 1 + e^{4\pi i/5} = -e^{2\pi i/5}$. Modulus and argument:$|J| = \varphi^{-1}$,$\arg(J) = 2\pi/5$. Tick dynamics:$G_{n+1} = J\,G_n$. Per tick:forward push $\Re(J)$,sideways bend $\Im(J)$,amplitude shrink $|J|$. Temporal fraction:$T := |J| = \varphi^{-1} \approx 0.618$. After $n$ ticks:$|G_n| = T^n$. Arithmetic state space:$G \in \mathbb{Z}[\omega_5]$. Integer update:$G \mapsto JG$,$M \in SL(4,\mathbb{Z})$,$\det(M)=1$. Two embeddings:$\sqrt{5} \mapsto +\sqrt{5}$ (shrinking),$\sqrt{5} \mapsto -\sqrt{5}$ (growing). Observable time follows the shrinking branch. Golden chord:$s^2 = 1 + |J|^2 = 3 - \varphi$. Rapidity per tick:$\eta = \ln \varphi$. Lorentz factor:$\gamma = \cosh(\ln \varphi)$. Arrow of time:one shadow converges,one diverges. Hierarchy:$|J|^{10} = \varphi^{-10}$. One root.One operator.One heartbeat. Time is the golden ratio multiplying itself. Simplizis.
