Abstract

We introduce a metaformal approach to numbers, information, and computation based on a dual structure of realized and unrealized unity. Within this framework, classical numbers, binary bits, and quantum qubits appear as projections of deeper structural objects—metanumbers and the metabit. Metanumbers do not arise from counting; they are formed as compositions of dual units in a fractal setting where the distinction between realization and potentiality is preserved globally but may be locally hidden by projection. On this basis, we define a metaprogram as computation understood as the control of projections, scales, and fractal generators. This perspective enables classical interference-like computation schemes and supports structural pre-optimization of quantum algorithms, without invoking physical quantum coherence as a foundational postulate.
