Abstract

This archive contains data and R scripts used to analyse sampling effort and taxon coverage (troglobionts / nontroglobionts) in subterranean fauna sampled in three caves. The repository includes:- raw sampling data (Excel files),- taxon reference tables,- a fully reproducible R analysis pipeline,- scripts for evaluating sampling-effort scenarios and accumulation curves. The analyses explore how combinations of caves, seasons, sampling methods and sampling frequency affect the proportion of target taxa (troglobionts) captured relative to sampling effort. This archive supports the results presented in the associated manuscript: "Towards efficient monitoring of cave fauna: exploring a trade-off between the data quantity and sampling effort".
