Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has evolved into a force for change in modern business, significantly enhancing the capabilities of Business Information Systems (BIS). This paper explores the potential and challenges associated with incorporating artificial intelligence into business information systems. The opportunities include improved decision-making through data analytics, automation of business processes, and enhanced customer experience. AI-driven BIS allows companies to use clever automation and predictive analytics to run more efficiently. However, integration of AI also presents challenges, such as high implementation costs, data privacy issues, and the need for specialized expertise. To overcome this obstacle, a calculated strategy is needed, including ethical AI governance, investment in human capital, and robust data management practices. This paper offers insights into the evolving role of artificial intelligence in BIS and offers recommendations for organizations seeking to capitalize on AI's potential while reducing its hazards.
