Symbiotic Dialectics: Meaning Emergence in Human–Non-Human Interpretive Systems
Abstract
This paper introduces Symbiotic Dialectics, a conceptual framework for analyzing meaning emergence in interactions characterized by cognitive asymmetry, ontological heterogeneity, and the absence of semantic ownership. The framework addresses contexts in which meaning does not reside in agents, texts, or systems, but arises relationally through sustained interaction between heterogeneous cognitive architectures, including human and non-human intelligences. Symbiotic Dialectics is presented as a descriptive, non-normative analytical framework, distinct from dialogical, hermeneutic, collaborative, and instrumental models of interpretation. It offers conceptual tools for examining meaning formation in experimental literature, human–AI interaction beyond alignment paradigms, and interpretive processes under conditions of irreducible opacity.
