Diptera in Türkiye Linking Biodiversity and Engineering
Abstract
Diptera are an insect order characterized by a single functional pair of wings and specialized balancing organs known as halteres, enabling highly controlled and efficient flight. Owing to their ecological diversity and biomechanical adaptations, Diptera serve as important model organisms not only in biodiversity research but also in studies related to stability, energy efficiency, and engineering inspired design.
