Abstract

Terminological Clarification: Dignity-in-Practice Overview This patch release provides a terminological clarification within the already consolidated normative framework of PMS v1.1. PMS v1.1.1 introduces no new theory, no new constraints, and no semantic changes. It resolves a potential ambiguity regarding the symbol D by explicitly disambiguating dignity-in-practice from any notion of ontological dignity. The purpose of this release is reader clarity and misuse prevention, not conceptual extension. What Changed (Precisely) 1️⃣ Explicit Disambiguation of D in the Entry Condition The pms_entry_condition text has been minimally updated to clarify that: D refers exclusively to dignity-in-practice, understood as a praxeological constraint, not as ontological worth, metaphysical dignity, or human ranking. This clarification makes explicit what was already enforced elsewhere in the specification (e.g. dignity_clause, guardrails, and the derived structure Dignity_in_Practice_D). No new requirements were added. What Did Not Change (Important) From v1.1.0 → v1.1.1, there are no changes to: the operator set Δ–Ψ operator definitions, dependencies, or ordering derived axes A / C / R / E / D the dignity_clause or self_binding_clause AI guardrails or application constraints theoretical scope, ontology, or normative position This release is purely clarificatory. Why v1.1.1 Exists The symbol D carries strong philosophical and legal connotations in many traditions. While PMS explicitly excludes ontological dignity from its scope, this exclusion was previously distributed across multiple sections. v1.1.1 ensures that: no reader can plausibly interpret PMS as grounding or evaluating ontological dignity, dignity-in-practice is unmistakably understood as an enacted, structural stance under asymmetry, PMS remains immune to moralization-by-notation. This closes a semiotic ambiguity, not a theoretical gap. Result After v1.1.1, PMS cannot be reasonably read as: importing metaphysical or inherent human worth, grounding dignity outside of praxis, smuggling moral ontology through structural notation. PMS remains: praxeological, not axiological structural, not metaphysical restrictive in application, not expansive in claims Versioning This release is tagged as: v1.1.1 — Terminological Clarification (Dignity-in-Practice) Migration Note No migration required Existing analyses remain fully valid Tooling, domain repositories, and downstream specifications are unaffected
