Structural order and physical time emergency
Abstract
Abstract A foundational framework is introduced in which the physical vacuum is endowed with a quantum structural order prior to the manifestation of physical time, energy, and spacetime geometry. This order is formalized as a non-metric relation of structural precedence among vacuum configurations, without presupposing a temporal parameter or time-translation symmetry. Dynamical consistency is ensured through structurally ordered operator composition and a non-energetic structural generator governing reconfigurations of quantum potentiality. Physical time arises only after macroscopic projection and coarse-graining, associated with irreversibility, information accessibility, and effective symmetry breaking. The formalism explicitly distinguishes ontological absence from operational non-manifestation of physical quantities, thereby avoiding both the elimination of time and its implicit reintroduction. The resulting framework is compatible with standard quantum theory and gravitational considerations, and provides a pre-geometric substrate suitable for cyclic cosmological models with low-entropy boundary conditions and no global entropic accumulation.
