Political Extremes and Political Balance
Abstract
This study explores the ethical roots of political extremism on both the left and right, revealing that both share common patterns. Using the RADICAL framework, the paper diagnoses these shared distortions, while the ACCORD framework offers a virtue-based alternative. Ultimately, the work argues that virtue ethics rooted in historic Christian thought provides a constructive path for political engagement that affirms both human dignity and the common good.
