Maxwell's Equations from Generative Dynamics
Abstract
We derive Maxwell’s equations from a single meta-axiom: the universe is a generative process subject to signal transmission constraints. This unpacks into two operational axioms—oscillatory generation and finite propagation speed—from which electromagnetic field structure emerges as geometric necessity. No empirical input beyond the existence of a speed limit is required. The electric and magnetic fields are shown to be orthogonal projections of a single helical process, and their coupling (Maxwell’s equations) follows from the constraint that phase velocity equals the limiting speed.
