Retention Beyond Entropy: Physical Memory, Cosmological Stability, and the Ethics of Non-Violation
Abstract
This work introduces retention as a third fundamental axis of physical description, alongside dynamics and thermodynamics. Retentive Physics formalizes physical memory as a measurable property of matter, defines operational thresholds for structural persistence, and proposes the retentive term Λψ as a stabilizing contribution to cosmology. The framework reframes black hole physics, late-time cosmology, and the final state of the Universe through the persistence of form rather than inevitable decay, and derives a non-anthropocentric ethical principle — Non-Violation — as a physical constraint on intervention in memory-bearing systems.
