Abstract

Abstract The Override Manual defines a non–force-based approach to manual structural reorganization grounded in constraint geometry, topology, and system-level behavior rather than localized tissue manipulation or symptomatic intervention. Within the LaFountaine Structural Correction™ canon, override refers to the intentional application of stable constraints at strategically selected anatomical nodes to reduce degrees of freedom and induce passive, system-wide reorganization. This paper formalizes override as a method distinct from techniques, modalities, or force-driven therapies, emphasizing that meaningful structural change emerges remotely in compliant regions rather than at the point of constraint itself. The framework integrates principles from kinesiology, anatomy, and systems theory, demonstrating how controlled restriction—when correctly placed—permits redistribution of load, tone, and motion across interconnected tissues. The Override Manual establishes clear boundaries on what is and is not claimed, documents failure modes and correction rules, and situates override as a transferable control logic applicable beyond manual therapy, including rehabilitation, ergonomics, and engineered systems. This work serves as a formal, non-clinical disclosure of override as a topology-driven structural control framework within LaFountaine Structural Correction™.
