Reconstruction of the Periodic Table: A Quantum Existence Model Based on the Principle of Existence Cost
Abstract
This paper proposes a fundamental reconstruction of the periodic table basedon the Principle of Existence Cost (PEC). Unlike traditional approaches thatarrange elements by atomic number and electron configuration, our model organizeselements relative to noble gases—considered as perfect closed-loop reference points. We introduce a quantum existence model where atomic properties emerge fromtwo fundamental components: structural scale and closure degree. The modelquantifies existence cost as 1−τtotal, where τtotal represents the degree of quantumclosure. We demonstrate that chemical reactivity, orbital shapes, and periodictrends can be unified under this single theoretical framework. The reconstructedperiodic table reveals deep connections between quantum stability and chemicalbehavior, providing a novel perspective on why elements exist in their observedforms.
