Abstract

Fig. 1. Geology of the area around the northern North Pole Dome. (A) Bedrock and regolith centred around the original discovery site (red star) of Kirkland et al. (2). The localities documented by Brenner et al. (1) from within the c. 3.47 Ga Monut Ada basalt are shown as black dots. The two most southerly shatter one localities they report as being within the c. 2.77 Ga Mount Roe basalt are shown as blue dots. (B). Expanded region of (A) showing that the discovery site (2) and many of the localities reported by Brenner et al. are within the Antarctic Creek Member as mapped on the GSWA 1:250 000 Marble Bar sheet (SF 50-8, Third Edition 2010). All geological data is from that map (see: https://geoview.dmp.wa.gov.au/geoview/).
