Toward a Generative Definition of Organizational Resilience
Abstract
This working note offers a generative definition of organizational resilience. Rather than treating resilience as a capability, state, or organizational property, it conceptualizes resilience as a behavioral manifestation that becomes observable when organizational behavior continues to be generated under disruption. Drawing on the Governance Energy Field Model, the note clarifies the conceptual distinction between behavior and its common representations, and introduces rhythmic viability as an interpretive condition for behavioral continuity. The purpose of this document is definitional. It records a generative understanding of organizational resilience intended to serve as a conceptual reference for subsequent theoretical development.
